a couple nights ago, we braved the ridiculous thunderstorms to head over to perugia (about an hour from home) and see one of the guide's (christina's) husband's band. they are called "Riciclato Circo Musicale" and they are INCREDIBLE! their instruments are all made of recycled products (as you'll see in our pics below). christina's ktichen chair even made an appearance! they were so high energy and fun and we were so glad we made the trek to see them. what a fun night! i can't wait to go back to perugia in the daytime...it looks like a very pretty city.

i don't think the clock works, but beautiful nonetheless
alex and chris having a heart to heart on the steps, trying to keep up to the girls
aw, such romance!
we found another Grom (the gelateria from Florence), so OF COURSE we had to get some. chris got pistachio this time...so tasty...and i got stracciatella (chocolate chip). YUM!!!
so, here is one of the guitars the band used...made of a lasagna pan and a bar bell from a weight set. sounded just like a normal guitar to me!
made of wood and old tomato cans...and some of the drums were lampshades
grand entrance!
that's allesandro, christina's husband ... percusionist extraordinaire

i love this! look at him! right before this, he was playing a horn. it's hard to describe but it had a bell and mouthpiece like a trumpet but it was attached to a rubber hose of some sort with only one key. awesome!
at the end of the show, they handed out these contraptions for people to be interactive. they were all different notes so it was like an orchestra when everyone blew at the same time. vicki and christina were having a ball!!
then they thew out a whole bunch of plastic jugs (mostly detergent bottles) and sticks. chris was going nuts on that thing!
i've never seen anyone play a wok before.
alex busted out the plum grappa...it burned like tequila but tasted so sweet. if it wasn't 130am, the grappa would've been a lot more dangerous.
dina, chris and vicki :)
alex enjoyed the grappa as well! he looks so funny! hahaha
