up at 515am, 3 trains, 1 bus, 1 plane and another train...from pisa to glasgow!
it was a VERY long day of travelling, yet again, but for a great reason...DAVE!! holy, it was weird seeing dave IN SCOTLAND! i think we were as confused as dave was. hahaha. we wandered around glasgow (so much walking!!), did some shopping, went to the museum of modern art and, on the first night dave and his friends played a show - which was AWESOME!!! (i got to meet paul finally...so dreamy! hahaha) and, seriously, 11 year olds opened the show. they were pretty good! but so random seeing little kids playing in a bar with their little emo hair cuts :) we went exploring in the west end for drinks in a church bar, we went walking through the gardens (and sang songs in the 'telephones') and played in the park. chris, dave's roommate, was so so awesome...even if we couldn't understand his thick scottish accent every so often! his band, Codeen, is AMAZING. dave played us some stuff...impressive!! i can't wait for the cd to be ready for my listening pleasure. really really good times! (and good beer and WETHERSPOON'S!!!!!). i'm so glad we had the opportunity to visit dave...36 hours wasn't quite enough but fun to the max :)
oh...and we got into pisa a few hours before our flight was due to take off so we walked around and explored a bit.
so...badia al pino to arezzo to florence to pisa to glasgow. WOO HOO!!!

chris wouldn't do the whole touristy pretend you're holding up the tower thing...this was as close as i got :)
i'm small!
it was a very pretty city. i love all the colourful houses.
ryanair sells liquor onboard...in baggies! and they were buy one, get one free! sarah - these "bags of liquour" must've been what you told me about all those years ago hahaha
outside the museum, this statue ALWAYS has a pylon on it's head. it was funny to see because we all know how much chris loves pylons :)
these apple turnovers were filled with fresh, whipped cream. oh man! dave's face says it all :)
