Hey All.
So it's 3:00 am here (9pm at home) and I just typed out a pretty long post and it got deleted. :o(
Holly beat me to the first post saying that I'm doing alright and I got here safely. The trip in was a 14 hour mission which included 1 plane 2 trains and a car ride. I slept most of the time on the way here which is probably why it's 3 am and I'm awake. The place here is gorgeous. All who intend on coming will be able to experience Italian wine country for everything it has to offer. Great cheap food along with even cheaper wine and beer, amazing scenery and awesome people. I'm loving it here already.
The next few days are sure to be extremely busy and fun filled. I've gotta learn the ropes of this place, then on Sunday we leave for Beaune, France, which is a 10 hour drive through the Alps. There's a guide conference out there that we're all attending. Then when we get back on the following Wednesday, it's back to work for a few days before we take a break on Saturday and drive to watch one of the Giro D'Italia stages. For those watching, I'll see if I can get on camera running along the riders in my Sweet Pete's Jersey.
I'll do my best to post some pictures in the next little while. Maybe after Holly gets here (I know that's still a little ways away, but I want her to be surprised at how awesome it is here)
Well people. I'll talk to you soon. Even though it's only been one day. I miss everyone already.
Ciao---Chris
